The charming village of Gordes

Located in the heart of the Luberon, the village of Gordes will charm you with its authenticity and Provençal charm. Your hotel with spa and swimming pool is located at the foot of the village, and the center of Gordes is less than 3 kilometers away.

Before setting off to discover all the secrets and must-see monuments in the surrounding area, take the time to stroll through the narrow streets and the winding, flower-lined cobblestone streets that make up the center of Gordes. You'll enjoy stumbling upon a small shop, a shaded square, or a refreshing fountain. At the top of the village, you can't miss the imposing Gordes Fortress Castle, from where you'll have a superb view.

Outside the village, we recommend a visit to the Sénanque Abbey, the symbol of Provence. Discover this 12th-century Romanesque abbey, known for its lavender fields.

In the surrounding area, visit the Village des Bories, a listed Historic Monument. These small houses, built of dry stone, bear witness to a past and a unique know-how.

At the Hôtel Carcarille, a 3-star hotel in Gordes, we know the region inside out and can recommend the best places and activities to do in the surrounding area.

Hilltop villages of the Luberon

Lourmarin & Bonnieux

The charm of Lourmarin will leave no one indifferent. Between the plane tree-lined road to reach it and the many historical monuments, Lourmarin is a must-see in the Luberon. Visit: Belfry, Fountain with Three Masks, and Lourmarin Castle.

Bonnieux is a typically Provençal village where life is good. By visiting Bonnieux, you can discover all its historical monuments and remains: the 12th-century church, the ramparts, the Philippe Tower, etc.

Not forgetting its famous festival

Avignon, the City of the Popes

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the heart of the Alpilles

Like Van Gogh, you'll fall under the spell of this Provençal town, known for its Glanum Archaeological Site, the Antiques, the Estrine Museum, Saint Paul de Mausole, and many others.

We particularly recommend a visit to the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence market, the large Provençal market held every Wednesday morning. On Saturday mornings, discover the farmers' market.
